We often misidentify government institutions. There is a major difference between government and government controlled or statutory institutions which are called autonomous institutions. Today we will know which are government institutions and which are autonomous institutions.

Government institutions
All the organizations that the government manages, controls, intervenes are government. They are managed under the government, that is, the direct influence of the government exists in government institutions. If the government orders any prohibition, the government institutions follow it to the letter. Moreover, we understand government institutions as pure government or revenue sector institutions. But some think that the institutions which are running monthly pension are government institutions. Basically the matter is not like that, pension can be introduced conditionally even in a state-owned or autonomous institution, so they are not government institutions.Yes, one thing can be clarified that all the institutions that have People's Republic of Bangladesh government written in the beginning are government institutions. "Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh " Text related logos and text may only be used in government institutions. One more thing that can be clarified is that the pension system is in operation in government institutions.
Autonomous institutions
Autonomous Bodies
Those institutions which have their own rules and regulations for management and control and the government cannot directly interfere in them are autonomous institutions. Autonomous institutions may or may not be dependent on the government for budgeting. Some autonomous bodies have introduced pension facility in certain posts subject to fulfillment of conditions. However, even if the monthly pension is not available in the autonomous institutions, the benefits are still available. One more thing is clear that the autonomous institutions cannot use the words “Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh”. They have their own logos and each autonomous body has constituted a board or body.The institutions headed by a chairman are autonomous institutions. There is also a provision for introduction of pension facility in autonomous institutions subject to conditions.

Autonomous institutions which depend on the government for budgeting are public institutions. Government can intervene indirectly in public institutions. That is, the autonomous institutions which have indirect intervention of the government are public institutions.
